Students at Mustang North Middle School raced cardboard boats at Oklahoma City Community College recently. The races are the culmination of an interdisciplinary unit on boats. Students study boats in history, write about them English and learn math concepts like scale during the boat unit. The students then break into teams and construct boats out of cardboard and duct tape and enjoy a day of racing at OCCC.
